the other后面加名詞單數(shù)或復(fù)數(shù)都可以，the other后加名詞單數(shù)表示“其他的一個(gè)。"加名詞復(fù)數(shù)的話表示“其他一部分。"

用法

The other特指兩個(gè)或兩部分中的另一個(gè)或另一部分，可接單數(shù)或者復(fù)數(shù)名詞，表示兩個(gè)中“一個(gè)……另一個(gè)……”，常用結(jié)構(gòu)式為：one...the other...

he other map另一張地圖，the other book另外的一本書(shū)。

其后也可跟可數(shù)名詞的復(fù)數(shù)形式,如：the other flowers其他的花朵,the other teachers其它的老師們。

還可以接不可數(shù)名詞,如：the other water剩下的水，the other beer別的啤酒。
