1．修飾可數(shù)名詞的有：

many，a good/great many，a large/great number of，(quite) a few，scores of，dozens of 等。這些詞或詞組都接名詞的復(fù)數(shù)形式，謂語動(dòng)詞也用復(fù)數(shù)形式，但many a也表示“許多”的意思，后接名詞的單數(shù)形式，謂語動(dòng)詞也用單數(shù)形式，例如：

Many a student has been sent to the mountain village.

2．修飾不可數(shù)名詞的有：

much，a good/great deal of，a large/huge amount of， (quite) a bit of 等。這些詞或詞組接不可數(shù)名詞，后面的謂語動(dòng)詞用單數(shù)形式。

3．既可以修飾可數(shù)名詞，又可以修飾不可數(shù)名詞的有：

plenty of，a lot of，lots of，a large/great quantity of，a good supply of，這些詞或詞組接復(fù)數(shù)或不可數(shù)名詞，修飾可數(shù)名詞時(shí)，謂語動(dòng)詞用復(fù)數(shù)；修飾不可數(shù)名詞時(shí)，謂語動(dòng)詞用單數(shù)。但supplies of，(large) quantities of 同樣修飾復(fù)數(shù)或不可數(shù)名詞時(shí)謂語動(dòng)詞用的是復(fù)數(shù)，應(yīng)特別注意。
