Pollution的用法

pollution是pollute的名詞形式，作為名詞一般表示一種被污染的狀態(tài)，或者意指“垃圾”。一般用污染來源或者被污染物+pollution的組合構(gòu)成表示污染的詞組，eg：light pollution，air pollution等等。

其動(dòng)詞形式pollute，不及物動(dòng)詞常用短語：pollute sth by/with sth

例句：The river has been polluted with toxic waste from local factories.
