use的ing形式是using。use有兩種用法，第一種是用作動詞，意思是“使用；利用；運用；消耗”，第二種是用作名詞，意思是“得到利用；用途；功能；用法；使用權(quán)；使用的機會”。in use表示“使用中”，而of use則表示“有用的、有益的”。

use的常見用法

1、be used to do 被用來做什么。需要注意：be used to 的主語是人時，其意為“習慣于”；be used to 的主語不是人而是物時，則為被動語態(tài)，意為“被用于”。

如： He has been used to living in the city. 他已經(jīng)在城市里住慣了。 Knives are used to cut things. 刀被用來切東西。 

2、used to do僅用于一般過去時，表示過去常常做什么（否定式為 used not to do或didn't use to do，疑問式把used放句首，或把did放句首） Scarf used to take a walk. Scarf過去常常散步。 

3、be used to doing 習慣做什么 Scarf is used to taking a walk. Scarf現(xiàn)在習慣于散步。
