focus on sth表示“集中于某事”;

focus作“中心，焦點”的解釋時，用詞范圍很廣，常被濫用，需注意。

focus用作名詞時原始意義是“火爐”,引申為“焦點”,轉(zhuǎn)化為動詞則為“(使)聚焦”,“(使)集中”。即“調(diào)整…的焦點或焦距以便看清”,引申則表示“使(注意力等)集中于某物”。

focus用作及物動詞時,可以接望遠(yuǎn)鏡、焦點等作賓語,也可以接陽光等作賓語,還可以接目光等作賓語。focus用于比喻作“致力于”解時,則可以接mind, attention等作賓語。
