explain用作動(dòng)詞，既可用作及物動(dòng)詞,也可用作不及物動(dòng)詞。表示說明，解釋；指把對方不知道、不理解的事以易懂的方式加以說明。

Explain使用方法

explain在動(dòng)詞中的用法后面一般跟explain sth to sb或后接反身代詞作賓語。

1、表示“解釋”，通常不接雙賓語，若語義上需要這類結(jié)構(gòu)，可以改成explain結(jié)構(gòu)使用。若其中的 sth 較長或較復(fù)雜(比如是不定式或從句)，也可以用explain to sb sth。

2、有時(shí)后接反身代詞作賓語，有兩個(gè)意思。例如：Could you explain yourself a bit more? 你能把意思說得更清楚點(diǎn)嗎？表示吧自己的意思表達(dá)清楚。Late again, Smith? I hope you can explain yourself! 又遲到了，史密斯？我希望你能說明一下原因！表示對自己的行為進(jìn)行解釋。

explain既可用作及物動(dòng)詞，也可用作不及物動(dòng)詞。用作及物動(dòng)詞時(shí)，賓語可以是名詞、代詞，也可以是帶疑問詞的動(dòng)詞不定式或that從句，還可以是反身代詞，說明自己的意思、動(dòng)機(jī)或行為。例如：I will try to explain the situation as I see it.我將試著根據(jù)我自己的看法講一講形勢。用作不及物動(dòng)詞時(shí)，例如You needn't explain any more.你不必再解釋了。
